Unbelievable Hydrangeas
June 21, 2009

Every year, as early as February, you ask us when the Hydrangeas are coming. They are so popular that we try to bring them in as soon as they start to show leaves. However, to see Hydrangeas at their peak, full of lush foliage and beautiful flowers, attend our Hydrangea Festival in June. We will have experts on hand to answer all of your questions, including the ever popular, "How do I make my Hydrangeas bloom?" You will have to come in to find out the answer to that one.

We will be carrying everyone’s favorite varieties such as Nikko Blue, Endless Summer, Limelight, and Pee Gee Hydrangeas in ample supply, along with some new and unusual varieties. Look for the Lady in Red lacecap Hydrangea, which is quickly becoming one of our top sellers. This beauty has pink flowers that deepen to red, phenomenal fall leaf color, and terrific foliage. You really must stop by to see this one.

For Father’s Day, why not pick up a Big Daddy Hydrangea? With gigantic flowers in pink or blue depending on your soil, and large glossy deep-green leaves, this is a must have for any garden. It blooms all summer long in sun or part shade and is one of the easiest Hydrangeas to grow!

If you have a small space, please try Pink Elf, also known as Pia Hydrangea. This little cutie grows only 3 feet tall and is covered with pink flowers in early summer. We always sell out of this one first so come in early to get one!
