What is the East Texas Arboretum

The East Texas Arboretum sits on more than 100 acres of native Texas land and includes formal gardens, historic buildings and a wooded nature area with more than 2 miles of naturalistic hiking trails. ETABS is a non-profit organization which is open to the public daily to the public so that everyone can enjoy this beautiful natural oasis.  (Map the Arboretum's Location)

Hours of Operation:

Spring & Summer - 7:30 am to 7:30 pm
Fall & Winter  -  8:00 am to 6:00 pm
Open 7 days a week. (Closed for Special Events)

Daily Admission:    

$2 per person, over 12 years of age.
Free to Arboretum Members.

Arboretum operations are funded through annual memberships, generous donations, fundraising events and rentals. Your membership and generous contributions are greatly appreciated. 

The Arboretum is a no-profit with the IRS - 501(c)(3) status.

Pets: While the Arboretum is pet friendly, the City of Athens' leash law does apply, NO exceptions because The Arboretum is inside the city limits and for the comfort and safety of other guests!  Be responsible, respect and obey the law. Thank you!
