Decorating Your Home for the Holidays
November 25, 2010

Before the Thanksgiving turkey is even digested we are thinking about decorating our homes for the Christmas season. You may have already begun.

We find that most customers begin right away with the exterior of their homes, putting up lights, garland, wreaths, and sashes. We have everything you need and more to create just the look you want. From formal to country and whimsical to chic, Waterloo Gardens has experienced designers to help you with your selections.

A frequently asked question arises each year about garland. What is best for outdoor decorating and what can be used indoors? White Pine will last a long time outdoors but browns faster inside than cedar, fraser, or noble fir garland. For extra fullness double or triple strand your white pine roping. It is a very cost effective way to get a full and lush garland. Our White Pine roping is cut and pieced just before shipping so you can expect freshness that you may not find elsewhere.

The Western Cedar Garland is the most lush garland we carry and lasts inside without browning or dropping longer than any other. It is ideal to wait until about two weeks before Christmas to decorate with fresh garland indoors in order to keep a fresh look through the holiday season.

For any of your decorating needs stop by soon to take a look at our beautifully decorated wreaths and accompanying pieces to make your home merry and bright!
